Welcome to the Cordillera Real

TREKKING BOLIVIA

Welcome to the Cordillera Real which will enchant those in love with wild landscapes and delight amateur and experienced trekkers. Crossing the Cordillera Real requires a 14 days trek providing you with spectacular panoramas and wide range of glaciers.

You will leave from the small village of Sorata and arrive at the bottom of Huayna Potosi. The first part is the wildest and most difficult one (away from traditional paths, going down screes etc.) The second part (from the Laguna Khotia to Huayna Potosi) is easier and more popular among trekkers.

?

Who?

The crossing of the Cordillera Real is considered one of the great classics of South American trekking. This circuit will seduce you by the diversity and the beauty of the landscapes encountered. It offers a set of high passes, glacial lakes, and verdant valleys punctuated by isolated hamlets. Because of its duration (14 days) and its altitude (almost all the camps are above 4,000 meters), this circuit is reserved for people in very good physical condition. Shorter alternatives of this trekking are possible.
